Sugar, Spice, and everything Sassy... we mean nice!  These three kittens came to us after being abandoned on a neighbor's doorstep.  They are sweet but a little scared as their world has been turned upside down twice in one day.  We are happy to say that they are now resting comfortably in a foster home.  Once we get to know their individual personalities a little better, we will update everyone on them.  In the meantime, they will be scheduled for their spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, and microchipping.  If you are interested in adopting any of these kittens, please fill out an adoption application above.

Smitten came to Red Dog Farm after being found as stray by a local humanitarian.  She is a sweet girl who is a typical kitten.  She loves to play and will need a family willing to let her be a kitten.  She will be vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped shortly.  In the meantime, she is enjoying socializing with her cat and kid brother.  Smitten has an adorable meow and will talk to you occasionally.  We are still getting to know her and will update her bio as we get to know her better.  In the meantime, please fill out an adoption application above if you are interested in adopting her.

Update: Smitten is doing great in her foster home.  She loves to be petted and will often “talk” you into petting her more if you stop.  She is a typical kitten so she is very curious and LOVES to play.  She is getting along with the other cats and often enjoys playing “tag” with her foster sister.  She is also good with kids and loves to play ball with her human foster brother.  When she gets tired and worn out form playing she will climb in your lap for a nap. She is very sweet kitten and will be a great addition to a loving family.

T.C. came to Red Dog Farm after being abandoned on his neighbor's doorstep.  Fortunately for him, the kind lady took him and called RDF for help.  T.C. was so flea ridden that he is anemic and is undergoing treatment to raise his blood values.  T.C. will have no lasting effects or need any medical care once his numbers have increased.  He will also be vaccinated and microchipped in about a week.  In the meantime, he is a happy and loveable cat who enjoys getting loved on.  His name T.C. stands for Tuxedo Cat.  We are still getting to know T.C. and will update you once we get to know him better.  If you are interested in adopting T.C., please fill out an adoption application above.

Juliet and her brother Shakepeare (pictured below) came to Red Dog Farm after her owner lost his home to major fire. Fortunately for Juliet, she has no medical issues as a result from the fire. Ashley is a very sweet young kitten who loves to play with everyone she meets. She is quite the adventurer and is always looking for something fun and new to do! She doesn’t mind playing with the other dogs and cats in her foster home and even tries to play with her foster mom’s rabbit. She has had her first kitten vaccines and was tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Update!  Ashley foster mom reports that she is a fun-loving kitten who enjoys playing with balls and tussling her foster cat sibling.  In fact, she is quite the entertainer.  A day full of running and tumbling and Ashley is happily content.  Of course, being a Torti, Ashley is not a lap kitten, but if you want a companion that is full of life and personality, Ashley is your girl!  She has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines and ready to go to her forever home.

Picture 4 & 5 - Ashley spent the day at The Greensboro Children's Museum. She enjoyed meeting all the children and even loved hanging out with the other critters. Ashley even curled right up to Hannah (our adoptable bunny) in her rabbit cage.

Sheena was originally a Hurricane Katrina survivor as an 8 week old kitten. Unfortunately for Sheena, her original owner was unable to keep her so Sheena has moved in to RDF and is now looking for a new home. As you can see from her photo, Sheena is quite the lap cat. She loves to be petted and enjoys just about any lap that she is given. Sheena is use to being an indoor only kitten and has been invisible fence trained before in order to help keep her indoors and safe. She even learned to stay out of certain areas in previous home for safety reasons. Although she no longer needs the invisible fence collar, she could be trained to it again. Sheena has an absolutely gorgeous coat and the sweetest personality you will ever meet. If you are looking for a lap kitty to lounge around with you, then Sheena is your dream girl! Latke was found as a stray and taken to a local animal hospital. She is a very sweet and affectionate kitten and loves everyone she meets. She loves dogs, other cats and even small children. Her “purr motor” is just what the doctor ordered and immediately soothes everyone with her charm. This cuddle-bug will do well in any home and will make some lucky family very happy.  Latke has had her first set of vaccinations, is Feline Leukemia and FIV negative and will be spayed soon. "Queenie" and her 5 adorable kittens just came into Red Dog Farm and are settling into their foster home nicely.  This litter was found abandoned on the edge of a local road.  The kittens are currently being fostered with a dog and another cat.  They also have two human siblings that are helping us socialize them. With all of this love, we know they will make an excellent pet for any family.  They are learning to use the litterbox and enjoy playing with thier toys.  Mom is still settling in a little but doesn't mind sharing her kittens with anyone.  We will update you on their individual personalities as soon as we get to know them better. Update: Talk about a social little girl!  Queenie has made several friends during her overnight accommodations at the RDF office.  She has befriended Hunter, our Executive Director's dog, all of the folks that have come by the office, and would love a friend in her new home.  She can't get enough attention but after a while gives you the space to work.  She just likes to see what you are doing whether at a distance in a nearby chair or on your lap.  Queenie would love to find a home fitting of her social and loving personality.

Feather came to Red Dog Farm after being found as a stray. She is a very sweet kitten who is doing great in her foster home. She is litterbox trained and loves to play with her toys just like any typical kitten. She gets along fine with the other dogs and cats in her foster home. Hello!  My name is Charmer and I'm a 1 year old neutered male American Shorthair.  Don't I have a cool pattern on my fur?  I was dumped off at a local farm.  I don't kow why my humans did that, but I am clearly a house cat that loves people.  I wanted to be friends with my three foster mom's cats but they weren't interested.  I was afraid of her great big dogs because they wanted to chase me.  However, I bet I could be friends with a friendlier cat and dog so please don't count me out on that point.  My foster mom took me in and promised me that someone out there would want me because I am such a charmer.  I love to be cuddled and will snuggle in anyone's lap.  All I want is a family of my own.  If you are interested in being my charming family, please fill out an adoption application above.

Poor Buzz and Jessie... they were all set to go to their new home but that adoption fell through.  However, these two have decided that the best home for them is still out there.  So they wanted us to update everyone on their progress.  Both kittens are very social and enjoy greeting new guests to their home.  Infact, Buzz quite enjoys being a lap kitten.  They have both healed from their spay and neuter surgeries and have recieved another round of vaccines. Jessie and Buzz would love to find their forever soon since their bags are already packed.  In the meantime, they will continue to greet guests, play with the foster siblings, and practice their purring for you.

Sylvia came to Red Dog Farm after being found in a storm drain.  We are unsure how she got there but she is a very sweet kitten.  She was starving when she was found but is now slowly putting on weight and eats great for her foster mom!  Sylvia LOVES people and is quite the snuggler.  We are still getting to know Sylvia.  She will be updated on vaccines next week when she is a little stronger.  She has already been tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS and she is negative!  She will be spayed in a couple of weeks when she is old enough and strong enough to do so.  In the meantime, she is happy and healthy and enjoys life as a kitten.  She should be ready to go to her new home shortly. 

Update10/10/11: Sylvia has been spayed and is ready to go to her forever home. She would do best in a home where she can be an indoor/outdoor kitty. This petite girl loves to walk on the wild side and explore new things. She would even be happy living completely outdoors if it was a safe environment for her to be in. We joke all the time that if Sylvia were a person she would be into extreme sports and rock climbing. If you're looking for an adventurous gal then Sylvia is a purrfect match! Artemis came to Red Dog Farm after she decided to hitch an unexpected ride home in her foster Mom's car. Artemis is one little social bug and loves to play and be the center of attention. She is not shy at all and loves everyone she meets. She gets along great with the other cats in her foster home and doesn't mind dogs either. She came to her first adoption event the other day and just wanted to play with everyone! She would make a great addition to any household. Phantom came to Red Dog Farm after being found as a stray at a local apartment complex. Phantom is a gregarious and sweet boy who only wants to be wherever you are! He loves to explore and will happy follow you from room to room. Phantom does well with other cats and dogs. He is a bit of a talker and appreciates it when you acknowledge him. Roxy came to Red Dog Farm after being found abandoned on the side of the road.  She is quite the snuggler and would love to find a family to cuddle with daily.  Her foster mom reports that she is a lap sitter and will not take no for an answer.  Oh and "I'm busy" doesn't count either.  When she wants petted, the appropriate response is of course!  Roxy enjoys cuddling with her foster brother Melvin.  She doesn't mind the other animals in her foster home but wouldn't mind being the only one either.  Roxy is quite the doll.  If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an adoption application above.

Maestro came to Red Dog Farm after being found abandoned and making himself at home on someone's front porch.  Fortunately for him, the family decided to bring him in, feed him, and contact RDF.  Maestro has a way of worming himself in to your heart.  Of course with that face it isn't hard!  Maestro loves to play and is not afraid of a thing.  He is respectful and plays nicely with everyone.  He spent Sunday afternoon hanging out at the Bark N' Wine event and entertaining the crowd.  He has been vaccinated and will be microchipped and neutered in the next couple of weeks.  He will be ready to go to his new home on October 8th.  If you are interested in a sweet, loving kitten to be your best friend, then Maestro is your man.  You can apply to adopt Maestro by filling out the application above. 

Marie came to Red Dog Farm Animal after being found abandoned in a local parking garage.  She was meowing up a storm near a dumpster when a Good Samaritan found her as she was heading in to her wedding reception.  Marie is quite the purr pot and talker.  She likes to tell you all about her day, how much she loves you, and that she never wants you to leave.  Our volunteers and the veterinary staff have enjoyed snuggling and petting this little one.  If you are looking for a cuddle bug to warm your heart, Marie is your girl.  She has been vaccinated and will be microchipped and spayed in a couple of weeks.  She will be ready to go to her new home around October 8th.  If you are interested in adopting Marie, please fill out an adoption application above.  We are sure you will love her as much as we do. 

Sunny came to Red Dog Farm after being found tied some outdoor furniture with leash, some canned cat food, and a note saying "please help me." Fortunately for Sunny, the nice lady who found him contacted us for help. Allie came to us along with Louie when her owners could no longer care for her.  She is a typical Calico in that she wants to be loved on on her terms.  However when she wants to be petted, she can be quite the lover.  Due to improper grooming, Allie had to get trimmed.  Allie can groom herself but will need someone willing to brush her occassionally to help her keep up.  Her longer lush locks need to stay beuatiful.  Allie would do well with someone wanting a cat to love but who doesn't mind her occassional indpendent streak.  Allie is up to date on her vaccines, spayed, and microchipped so she is ready to go to her new home.  We are still getting to know Allie but will update you on her progress as we get to know her better.  If you are interested in adopting Allie, please fill out the adoption application above.
 

Sylvester is quite the handsome kitten.  He came to Red Dog Farm after being stuck in a tailpipe.  He had burns on his paws from the hot metal and he was thin from lack of food.  Other than that, he was great!  He has been cleared by our veterinarian and is working on putting on a little more weight before being neutered.  He has had his first round of vaccines and will be microchipped when he gets neutered.  Sylvester is currently being "mothered" by one of the cats in his foster home so he will have excellent kitten and eventually cat manners too!  If you are interested in adopting Sylvester, please fill out an adoption application above.

Skye came to Red Dog Farm after being tossed outside when her owners had to move and then threatened to be shot by some local boys who didn't know any better. Despite all of this, Skye is extremely loving and affectionate to anyone who will sit still long enough to pet her.  She has a very fine bone structure.  She is curious, enjoys chasing her feather on a stick, and watching the world out of her favorite window.  Skye would make an excellent pet for anyone looking for love of a kitten.  If you are interested in adopting Skye, please fill out an adoption application above.

We took them immediately to our veterinarian and discovered that they probably hadn’t had access to food and water for several days. Their stomachs were full of sand and dirt from them trying to eat whatever they could fine on their own. Unlike his brother, it only took Melvin a few hours to understand that we were the good guys and his “purr-motor” hasn’t stopped since! Fionna came to Red Dog Farm after her owners could no longer care for her.  She is a love bug and comes when she is called.  Fionna loves to get brushed and doted on by her adopring family.  She would do great in a home with other dogs or cats as long as she gets plenty of attention.  Fionna does occasionally get canned food as a treat but mostly eats dry food.  She is a larger cat but could stand to lose a pound or two.  However, her larger size only reflects her true motto in life which is too live life to its fullest.  If you are interested in adopting Fionna, please fill out an adoption application above.

These kittens came to Red Dog Farm after they were dropped off at a farm along with their mother.  They are very cute and playful little kittens.  Mocha and Latte are the girls and are the most snuggly while Frappe is all boy but eventually enjoys cuddling once play time is over.  They are typical Siamese as far as looks and neediness.  They would do best in a home that understands the neediness/ socialness of Siamese and the activity level of a kitten.  We are still getting to know these kittens and will update their personalities and provide individual picture of them shortly.  If you are interested in adopting them, please fill out the adoption application above.

These 4 kittens were found abandoned on the side of the road with momma cat nowhere to be found. Luckily for them a very kind lady scooped them up and contacted Red Dog Farm about a foster home.  These kittens were under two weeks old and didn't even have their eyes or ears open.  They came to us about two weeks ago and have been bottlefed and are doing great.  They are now starting to explore regular cat food on their own.  They have also started playing with each other and are now learning basic kitten manners.  They will be ready to go to the forever homes once they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped at the end of May.  If you are interested in adopting one of these adorable kittens, please fill out an adoption application above.

Navi came to Red Dog Farm initially as a kitten.  Her adoptive mom, however, is now unable to keep her to due a change in finances.  Navi is a fantastic kitten.  She loves to look out the window and spends lots of her days lounging around by the window.  She also enjoys lounging around on the couch.  When she isn't relaxing, Navi is a very playful and curious kitten.  She likes to know what you are doing almost all the time.  Navi also enjoys playing with toys and the laser pointer.  Lastly, Navi is a very clean cat.  For instance, after she finishes eating, she uses her paw to sweep the crumbs under the place mat -- she does not like a dirty area.  It's actually pretty funny.  If you are interested in giving this sweet, slightly diva-like kitten a home, please fill out adoption application above.

Callie came to Red Dog Farm after her owner passed away.  All of her other siblings found homes except for her.  There is nothing wrong with Callie other than she was the shyest of them all.  However, her foster mom reports she really isn't that shy and makes a wonderful companion.  She gets along well with people, visitors, dogs, and other cats.  Callie would love to find a forever home that will let her enjoy the days basking in the sun.  Callie is younger than her years let on.  If you are interested in adopting Callie, please fill out an adoption application above. 

Ray came to Red Dog Farm after being found by a good samaritan on the side of the road.  He has a purr motor that does not stop and he does not know a stranger including the big dog in his foster home.  He had a sinus infection that went untreated and spread to his eyes, so he currently can only see shadows and some shapes.  It does not slow him down in the slightest though! He enjoys all the kitten toys and chasing after your feet to play with them.  He is expected to make a full recovery except for his eyes, so do you have room in your heart for a special boy who only knows love?  We will post more pictures as he begins to heal!  If you are interested in adopting Ray, please feel free to fill out an adoption application above. 

Bellatrix came to Red Dog Farm after being found on the side of the road along with her brother Draco (pictured below).  She is a sweet girl that knows how to use the litter box and gets along well with the other critters in her house.  She doesn't seem to mind the other cat or the dogs in the house.  She enjoys getting petted and loved on.  She would make a wonderful addition to any family.  We will let you know about her personality as we get to know her better.  If you are interested in adopting Bellatrix, please fill out the application above.

Draco along with his sister Bellatrix (pictured above) came to Red Dog Farm when a nice lady found him stranded on the side of the road.  He is a fabulous kitten who already knows how to use the litter box and act like a gentleman.  He is looking for a forever home where he can continue to grow into a handsome adult cat.  He would make a wonderful pet for any family.  He does well with his foster siblings and loves his foster family dearly.  However, he would love to find his forever soon. Draco would love to find his sweetheart in time for Valentine's Day.  Please fill out an adoption application above if you are interested in being Draco's Valentine. 

Bert and Ernie just came to Red Dog Farm after being pulled from a not so great situation.  They are happy, healthy, and social little fellows who just want someone to love.  They have been vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped so they are ready to go to their new homes.  Bert and Ernie are fabulous kittens who get along with dogs, cats, kids, and people of all ages.  If you are interested in adopting either or both of them, please fill out an application above.

These three kittens were found abandoned in a pasture.  They were found by a very nice lady when she went to feed her horses.  We are not sure how they got there but they were scared to death.  However, now they are happy, healthy, and social kittens who LOVE to play.  You can often hear them rompin' and tumblin' through their foster home.  Their favorite toys are the fake mice and balls that their foster mom got them.  The kittens will be spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and microchipped this week and ready to go to their new homes at the end of October.  If you are interested in adopting one of them, please fill out an adoption application above

Hi my name is Miley and I am a typical orange tabby girl.  I love to be loved and will love on you right back.  I love to curl up in laps for long snoozes and when it is your bedtime I will race to the bed as I love bedtime just as much as you do!  I love to talk and chirp and the more you talk to me the happier I get.  I will do tricks for my treats, and will turn myself inside out for a tummy rub!  I live with my brother Otis in my wonderful foster home that also has two really big dogs whom I love as my own family, so if you have dogs, that is fine by me!  Please consider me to come and live with you forever, as you can see I have already placed myself under the Christmas tree!

Oscar is Red Dog Farm's new office kitty.  He was originally adopted out with his sister a couple of months ago but these two siblings were not the best of friends so Oscar came back to Red Dog Farm.  Oscar is a very loving kitten who enjoys being petted, loved on, and just generally hanging out with you.  He is a typical needy Siamese who enjoys talking to you especially when you just get home or when he is looking for you.  Oscar can often be found laying on our Executive Director's lap while she works or following our volunteers around the office while they work.  He just likes to be where his people are.  He also does well being left alone as long as you hang out with him when you are home.  Basically, he just likes to be included.  If you are looking for your new best friend, Oscar is your man.  In order to adopt Oscar, you will need to start by filling out an adoption application above. 

Graham came to Red Dog Farm after being found on the front doorstep of a local business on Battleground Avenue. We believe that he may have been tossed out of a car window since he has road rash on his face. The veterinarians expect him to make a full recovery and have no permanent damage for his escapade. He is a happy and healthy kitten who has quite a purr. He will make a fantastic kitten and full grown cat for a loving family or individual. Or you can stop by the office at Bur-Mil Park any Monday night to meet him and Pepper since they are both our resident office kitties.

Pepper is currently living at the Red Dog Farm office at Bur-Mil Park in the official capacity of "office kitty" because we do not have a foster home available for her.  Come on by and meet this squeaky little girl!  She is a bundle of curious energy and loves to chase anything sparkly of with feathers on the end.  Pepper makes us laugh every day because she doesn't really meow, she just squeaks!  She likes other cats and would fit in well to a household with another cat or as a solo cat. 

Pepper has already been spayed and is ready to be adopted!  She's a tiny little thing and will likely be a small cat when full grown.

Update!  Pepper is clear of all urinary tract infections and has received a clean bill of health. She will need to be on filtered water and canned cat food for life but is expected to live a happy, healthy, and full cat life! She enjoys being an office cat but would love to have a family of her own to snuggle with, help with computer work, and just be your purrfect friend. 

Ryan came to Red Dog Farm after being pulled from a neglect situation by a good samaritan.  Ryan is sweet boy who gets along well with everyone once he settles into his home.  He is a little shy at first and likes to explore his new surroundings slowly.  He loves to play, especially with plastic soda bottles and feet.  Ryan is very gentle when he plays with your feet and is really just trying to get you to play.  He enjoys tummy rubs and getting petted although he does not enjoy being carried around.  He would much rather follow behind you.  He will snuggle next to you on the couch.  Ryan doesn't mind other animals once he realizes they won't hurt him.  If you are interested in adopting Ryan, please fill out an adoption application above.

Update! Saffron came to Red Dog Farm very pregnant and 24 hours later gave birth to 9 beautiful kittens.  It was a very large litter for her, but she loved every moment with them.  In fact she was such a devoted mommy that when her foster mom took in two bottle-feeders, she took them as her very own too and nursed all 11 kittens with not one complaint.  She would purr anytime one of her kittens were near, and is so sad that all of her babies are now adopted and she is left all alone.   Saffron gets along with everyone in her foster home which includes small children, dogs and cats. Unfortunately the resident cat is not letting Saffron hang out with him, so she is very lonely waiting for someone to adopt her.  She would LOVE to have kitty playmates too!! Update!  Saffron has recently moved in to a local vet's office.  She is still looking for her forever home but while she waits she is teaching everyone how to be a proper cat, especially the stray kitten at the vet's office.  Saffron enjoys one on one attention from her human and doesn't mind another cat, as long as they are friendly.  The vet staff reports that she is an excellent cat and would make someone a fantastic companion.  We all hope she finds her forever home soon. 

Si was abandoned with his brother, who has been adopted.  Si is still looking for a home.  He is a SWEET and super social cat who likes to follow you around, sit on your lap, and basically do whatever it is that you are doing.

I may be little now, but I am full of love and have to greet everyone in the house including animals.  My favorite thing to do right now is to attack the sleeping 140 lb. Great Dane in my house...we play all day long.  I love to talk and follow you around to see what kind of mischief you are going to get in -- because we all know that kittens as cute as me cannot cause any mischief at all.  I also have some foster kittens to play with in my foster home, so I love to follow them around too.  Some of my other skills include using the litter box whenever I need to, giving LOTS of kisses, playing with my toys, and learning how to climb up on things like the big cats.  I am sure there will be lots more to add to my list once I get a little bigger.   Do you have room in your heart and home for little me?  I promise to love you furrever.

Sparkle came to Red Dog Farm after her owner decided she didn't want her anymore and was going to put her outside.  Sparkle is declawed and this would have been very dangerous for her.  Sparkle now is safe in a foster home where she enjoys being loved on and snuggled with.  She does fine with other cats and dogs as long as they are not really big pests.  Sparkle will need to go with a family who will continue to keep her safe and never let her go outdoors.  Sparkle is often at our adoption events and loves to socialize.  Come check out her out at our next adoption event!  She would love to meet you and get a few scratches.  Sparkle is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped so she is ready to go.  If you are interested in adopting Sparkle, please fill out the adoption application above.

Jack Frost was found trying to cross Holden Road in Greensboro during a very busy time.  A very nice lady picked him up and contacted Red Dog Farm for a foster home for him.  Jack Frost, or "Jack" for short, is doing fabulous in his foster home.  He loves to follow his mom around and is learning how to be a big boy thanks to his cat foster brother.  Jack Frost isn't afraid of anything, including vacuum cleaners or loud noises -- based on this behavior and a few other reasons we believe that he is deaf.  Therefore, Jack will need to go to a forever home that will make sure to keep him indoors.  He loves life and his hearing problem won't stop him from having a happy, healthy life.  He loves to snuggle and will make a great cat!  If you are interested in adopting Jack Frost, please fill out an adoption application above.

Bluebelle came to Red Dog Farm after one of our volunteers found her abandoned one day while running errands.  Bluebelle is a great kitten who enjoys playing and entertaining her foster parents.  She has already been spayed, microchipped, and has started her kitten vaccines.  She would love to go home with someone that will play with her and continue to spoil her rotten.  She can be a bit of a talker and appreciates it when you acknowledge her.  :)  If you are interested in adopting Bluebelle, please fill out an application above.

Nala came back to Red Dog Farm because the 17 year old cat in her new home was not accepting her.  Nala is a lovely cat but does enjoy being a Princess.  She prefers to be doted on by her owners, especially when they tell her how pretty she is.  She also enjoys the finer things in life such as wet food, getting petted and brushed.  She doesn't seem to mind sharing her home with other animals as long as she gets the proper amount of attention.  Nala has fabulous long hair and needs to be brushed frequently.  She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped so she is ready to go to her new home!  She hopes it will be her last.  If you are interested in giving this sweet princess a home, please fill out the adoption application above.

Got Milk?  Fiona does with her "milk" mustache as we like to call it.  Fiona came to RDF after being found abandoned in a local neighborhood.  She was only 4 weeks old when we found her and has had her milk mustache from the very beginning.  Fiona was bottle fed for the first week or so that she was with us.  Now she is a happy, healthy kitten who eats solid food and drinks water instead of milk.  Fiona enjoys the company of people and other critters.  She enjoys playing and is looking for someone to share her milk and cookies with.  If you are interested in adopting Fiona, please fill out an adoption application above. 

Update!  After being with her foster family for 3 weeks, Fiona is still doing wonderfully and her personality is exciting to see every day!  She is full of energy and loves to explore and play with her toys.  She loves to take a nap in a different place every time and will happily take a nap with you!  She's having a ball with the 6 year old male cat, Tiger, in her foster home.  Actually, Fiona is Tiger's new toy!  She loves to follow people and hang out with them wherever they may be.

Navi came to Red Dog Farm after being found abandoned at a local barn with Sully.  Navi is a very sweet and social kitten.  She can often be found playing with, snuggling with, or just hanging out with her human brother.  She likes people, kids, and other cats.  Actually, she doesn't seemed to be bothered by much.  Navi has been spayed and is now adoptable.  If you are interested in adopting Navi, please fill out an application above.

Chance came to Red Dog Farm after being found abandoned on the side of the road.  Lucky for him, he got a second chance at life when a good samaritan stopped and picked him up.  He is a friendly little guy who doesn't mind being carried around by his three year old human sibling.  He enjoys playing like most kittens and doesn't seem to be bothered by much either.  Chance would do great with any family whether big or small, loud or quiet.  Chance is starting to learn to eat mush and solid food.  He will be ready to go to his new home mid-July after being vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.  If you are interested in adopting Chance, please fill out an application above.  This little guy is too good to miss!

Wanda (tortie) and Waldo (orange tabby) were found in a parking lot in Greensboro before coming to Red Dog Farm.  Waldo and Wanda both have a unique swirl pattern to their coat rather than the standard stripped pattern you see on a tabby or splotch pattern on a tortie.  Both kittens have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  They will be ready to go to their new home after June 5th when they have recovered fully from their surgeries.  Wanda and Waldo are very energetic and would enjoy an active household and plenty of kitten toys to play with.  If you are interested in adopting either Wanda or Waldo, please fill out an adoption application above.

Cleo (calico colored) and Caesara (cream colored) were found abandoned by a good samaritan before eventually making their way to an RDF foster home.  They are two happy and healthy kittens that are enjoying learning new things in their foster home.  Their foster mom reports that Caesara is the more talkative one and will proudly proclaim when it's dinner time.  While Cleo enjoys lounging around and getting spoiled by her foster mom and any other visitors to the house.  Their doggie sibling enjoys looking after them as well.  Cleo and Caesara are both still being bottle fed.  They will be spayed/neutered and microchipped once they are old enough and will receive their age appropriate vaccines as well.  They will be available for adoption after April 20th although we will start taking applications on them now.  If you are interested in adopting either one of them or both, please fill out the application above.

Kiwi is a 6+? year old spayed female tortoiseshell cat that was found abandoned at an apartment complex dumpster when her former owners moved out.  She is a big cat being both tall and heavy, but is a real sweetheart and likes to be picked up and petted all over.  She even likes water!

Kiwi has gone on short trips outside, but gets very nervous and darts back into the house.  She DOES NOT get along well with other cats.  Kiwi is just fine with dogs (as long as they don't chase her) and is wonderful with children.  Kiwi is a big cat but is down from 24 to 19 pounds.  Because she is on a very simple diet, as per the vet’s instructions, she can be bossy at feeding time.  She loves people of any age, though she doesn’t often get up in a lap on her own.  She is getting much better at it and will play with toys and her scratching ring as well as a laser light.  Kiwi would do very well as an “only” inside cat.

Update!  Kiwi is doing wonderful in her foster home.  She has taken a liking to sitting in her foster mom's lap, trying to clean the dinner plates, and even asks to get a bath.  She has discovered that getting wiped down with a wet cloth keeps the static on her fur down which makes getting petted much more enjoyable.  Kiwi is still looking for that special someone to love her.  Do you have room in your heart for this older but wiser girl?  Thanks to her wonderful sponsors Kiwi's adoption fee has been waived.  Her sponsors are hoping she will find a home for the holidays this year.

Update!  All of Saffron's have been adopted but no one has yet to adopt Saffron.  Saffron is doing great in her foster home.  She doesn't mind other cats in the least or dogs, kids, or adults for that matter.  She doesn't know why no one wants to adopt her.  She thinks it's because she doesn't have her girlish figure back yet.  We tell her every day that she was a fantastic mom and is a great cat and that soon someone will take her home forever. 

Lilly came to us after being found by a good samaritan who took her to a local vet's office.  Lilly's eyes and ears are not even open yet.  Lucky for her, Saffron and her litter of kittens took Lilly in instantly.  So now Lilly has a kitty foster family all her own to help her learn basic kitten behavior and interactions.  Lilly will be ready to go to her new home sometime towards the end of May after she has been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.  We will continue to update you on Lilly and her new siblings as they grow.  If you are interested in adopting Lilly (or one of her siblings below), please fill out an application above.
 
Saffron, Lilly's new mommy, is still looking for a home as well (pictured below).  We hope to find her a home to go to once the kittens are weaned and she has been spayed, especially after being such a fantastic mom to all of her 9 kittens and Lilly. 

Spider was originally abandoned at a local vet's office in Greensboro, NC.  The two female cats he was left with have already been adopted.  Poor Spider is the only one left and unsure why no one wants a gorgeous male orange tabby kitten.  He didn't mind the vet's office but was a little scared while there.  He is now doing great in his foster home!  He doens't mind other dogs or cats and is really coming out of his shell.  We all new he would once he got to a home.  Spider is vaccinated, neutered and FIV/FeLv Negative so he is ready to go home today.  If you are interested in adopting Spider, please fill out an application above.  He's too sweet to miss!

Jinxy is a gray kitten with a great personality.  She is very curious and always comes up to investigate new things and to greet us when we come in the door.  Her playmates are another cat, a full grown doberman, and a boston terrier pup who she plays tag and wrestles with.  Her favorite toys are lasers, stringy things, and loves feet under blankets to mock attack.  She would do well in a home with other cats to play with and might even prefer to be an indoor/outdoor cat because she is always climbing on things and getting into mischief. 

"Pressley" as his foster home has been calling him is a 3 month old tabby kitten that was surrendered to the Wallaces by a neighbor who found him under her son's car.  He looked to have been in a couple battles for his life - see his left ear and the notch in it as well as some fur missing in some places.  He has since led the life of leisure in his own personal "kitty condo" full with a scratching post and constant organic food!  So far Pressley has shown his alertness, sweetness, and love of people by following his foster mom around everywhere outside!  He enjoys chasing leaves, running and playing under bushes, and just snuggling up with mom while watching TV.  Pressley would be a great cat for just about anyone.  He has been introduced to all shapes and sizes of dogs and seems to approve - in fact he is very brave...a little too brave and the dogs tried to take advantage of him!  Poor guy - don't worry, mom saved him!  He loves the outdoors but would probably prefer to be an indoor/outdoor cat with a very affectionate human to love him.

Update!  Are you looking for more of a dog than a cat?  Well Pressley is your man.  He has recently started mastering walking on a leash and recently strutted his stuff at an RDF adoption fair.  Pressley is a very neat cat that is perfect for the dog/ cat lover at heart.  If you can't decide between a dog and a cat, Pressley says take the best of both worlds. 

Hi I'm Mr. Pickles and I'm here to show you what a REAL cat is all about! I am a 6 month old blue black Bombay.  My foster parents say that I am one cool cat. If you are looking for a dog in a cat body then I'm your guy.  I enjoy cuddling on cold nights and lavishing my owner with kisses. I get along great with dogs.  I don't mind other cats as long as they know I am in charge.  I am unique in that I don't shed and the more you rub my coat the shiner it becomes.    If you are looking for that perfect love...Then I'm your man.  All that I am asking for is that my furever home promise to love me forever!! Oscar is one of the coolest cats you will ever meet.  He is 4 years young and much more of a dog rather than a cat.  He enjoys greeting people that come to his home, playing with toy mice, and dancing for his food (talk about a party trick).  Oscar lived with "Tiger Lilly" (see dogs page) in his home before both were surrendered because the baby was allergic to them. Hi! My name is Sapphire and I am a 11 week old solid grey kitten with a little white patch on my belly and one on my neck. I was rescued by a good samaritan from the Harris Teeter parking lot when I was 7 weeks old. I have been to the vet and had all of my shots and was also negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. I have been spayed as well, so I am ready to go when you are! My best friend is a 120lb. Great Dane puppy who loves to let me climb all over her. I love playing with all of my toys and I also love to play the kids in my foster home too. I can use the litterbox without any accidents and only scratch on my designated scratching areas. Please consider me to put under your Christmas tree this year. I love my foster home, but it sure would be nice to have your home be my forever home!

Ely is very sweet and loves to be held and cuddled. He has the greatest little tufts of long hair that grow out of his ears, which give him a distinguished look. Ely is up-to-date on his rabies shot and distemper vaccine and is dewormed and neutered.

Update!  Who couldn't love that face?  Ely is becoming quite the handsome long haired cat.  He enjoys getting doted on and an occasional excursion outside.  He is still looking for a place to call his forever home. 

Simon came to Red Dog Farm when a good samaritan picked him up after he was thrown out of a car.  He suffered a broken leg that is healing nicely.  It doesn't seem to be affecting him in the least.  He is a super sweet kitten that enjoys getting some attention.  He is looking for a forever home this holiday season now that he is almost recovered.  Please fill out an application above, if you are interested in adopting him. 

Froy came to RDF when she was found by a good samaritan.  She is a great kitten who loves kids, adults, and really everyone she meets.  She has been spayed and then is ready to go to her new home.  Froy is also micro-chipped and vaccinated.  If you are interested in adopting Froy, please fill out the application above.

Update!  Froy has become quite the princess in her foster home.  She loves attention and people but prefers that you understand she is to be treated as a princess.  She's not a diva but does enjoy a cat savvy person.  By "savvy" we mean someone who will let her be a cat and not expect a dog.  Her foster mom loves her and hopes that she finds a special someone soon.

Romeow's foster mom states that he is the coolest kitten ever!  He was found abandoned at a local warehouse and surrendered to RDF.  He is sweet as pie and loves attention.  He also loves to play.  If you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an application above.

Nala is a sweetheart of a cat, but does not like quick movements nor loud noises and will calmly retreat to her safe place.  She is coming out of her shell and allows her foster mom to brush her and rub on her.  Nala will need a home with minimal excitement and noise.  Nala seems to do ok with dogs & cats as long as they do not chase her.  Nala is not an outdoor cat however she is fully clawed.

Charlie, Mac, and Dennis came to RDF when their owner could no longer keep them.  Their stray momma found her way in to a good samaritan's heart and brought these three along with her.  They are great social little kitties.  They just came in to our program this week (Sept. 21) so we are still getting to know them individually.  They will be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped this week and then ready for their new homes.  If you are interested in adopting them, please fill out an application above.

Gemma was found at just 4 days old by a good samaritan who brought her to RDF.  She is small for her age but will be ready to go to her new home shortly.  She enjoys getting petted and is looking for someone to dote all over her.  Gemma is vaccinated and will also be microchipped when she gets spayed in the next week or so. 

Emmett is all boy.  He has a healthy appetite and enjoys being loved on by his foster parents.  Emmett is lucky to be alive after his mother and sibling were found on the side of the road after being hit by a car.  A good samaritan picked up Emmett and called RDF.  He has been checked out by our veterinarian and is in great health for a young kitten.  Emmett will be vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered before going to his new home.  He will be ready to go to his forever home on September 28th.  Please fill out an application above if you are interested in adopting Emmett.

Randall is an 8 week old orange tabby that is looking for his forever home.  He was found hanging out around Randalman Lake which is how he got his name.  He is doing well in his foster home and is helping rehabilitate another kitten.  Randall has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped so he is all ready for his forever home.  Please fill out an aplication aboove to adopt Randall. 

Pluto was found abandoned.  Pluto is a social boy and loves to hang out with friends.  He is a lovable guy but slightly independent.  He already knows how to use the litterbox and does so like a champ!  Its the little steps in life that can be the biggest accomplishments.  Pluto needs to get a little bigger, stronger, and older before he will be ready to go to his new home the end of August but he is well on his way.  To adopt Pluto, please fill out an application above.  He will be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going to his new home.

Hopper is a tabby kitten that is looking for a new home.  He was found under a dumpster in downtown Greensboro.  He was found near the Greensboro Grasshoppers ballpark, hence the name Hopper.  He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped and is ready for his new home.  If you are interested in adopting Hopper, please fill out an application above.  We will update you on his personality and he starts to get comfortable in his foster home.

"Arthur" has totally come out of his shell!  He follows his foster mom everywhere and rolls over to have his belly rubbed.  What a love!  Arthur has won over every volunteer who has worked with him.  If you would like a cat who will sit in your lap all day long and "talk" to you while you rub him, Arthur is the cat for you! 

Arthur absolutely loves kittens!  He is "babysitting" Maurice and Morton and takes his job very seriously, grooming the kittens and snuggling with them nonstop!
