Cricket - Lionhead Rabbit
AGE: 6 months old
Cricket came to us when her owners found out that they were unable to keep her due to allergies. Unfortunately, this happens quite often with small animals. Cricket is a very sweet little girl but is a little on the shy side. She needs an experienced rabbit owner to give her some time, love, and attention to adjust to being held. She enjoys the company of her foster animals, including a guinea pig and a cat. If you are interested in adopting Cricket, please fill out an adoption application above.
Her adoption fee is $30.00.
Bessie - Rex Rabbit
Bessie was found abandoned in front of a local humane society. She is a very sweet and calm rabbit. We think she would do well for any household. Bessie seems to do well with children and is curious about other animals. She would prefer to be the only rabbit or to at least have her own space. If you are interested in adopting Bessie, please fill out an adoption application above.
Her adoption fee is $30.00.
Leo - Rhinelander Rabbit

AGE: 6-7 years old
You couldn't ask for a friendlier fella than Jonas. He doesn't mind being held and has an excellent disposition. He just came to us this weekend so we are still getting to know him. However, we would encourage anyone interested in adopting a Chinchilla to do their research first. Chinchillas require special living quarters, such as dust, and a special diet to make sure that they stay happy and healthy. They also enjoy a good romp through the house but can not use small critter balls as they can overheat in them. Jonas would make a great pet for the right home - either an experienced Chinchilla owner or with someone willing to work with our staff to set up his habitat and home to meet his needs. Please stay tuned for additional updates on Jonas. In them meantime, please feel free to apply above to adopt him.
His adoption fee is $75.00.
Lava - Guinea Pig
Chilly - Chinchilla
AGE: 3-5 years old
Meet "Chilly", our newest adoptable Chinchilla! His foster mom reports that he is an absolute wonderful chin! Chilly is extremely friendly and loves scratches under his chin (LOL - no pun intended). He enjoyed exploring his new room today and made frequent visits to his foster mom and the cat during his journey. What a sweetheart!
Update! Here is a cute picture of "Chilly" taking his dust bath. His foster mom says he loves playtime and enjoys exploring. He is not shy around the cat in his foster home and is just a great all-around chinchilla. If you would like to meet sweet fella, please fill out an adoption application above.
Update! Chilly is still not fond of being held, although he is getting better everyday. He and his foster Chin are playing well with each other, so he would enjoy a compatible playmate.
Chilly's adoption fee is $75.00.
Weeble - Bearded Dragon
Skittles - Macaw
AGE: 14 years old
Skittles came to Red Dog Farm when her owners could no longer keep her. She is social but still needs some work and would do best with a family or person who understands macaws and has had one previously. She loves her blueberries, hard-boiled egg, and her toys. Skittles also enjoys shredding the daily newspaper when you are done reading it. We are still getting to know Skittles and will update you as we get to know her better.
Update! Skittles is doing wonderful in her foster home! She is very willing to step up now on her foster mom's arm and loves to help around the house as much as she can. In fact, she even likes to go to work with her foster mom. Her main job at work is to make sure that mom takes a dancing break every so often. Skittles loves to dance to Abba, Journey, and most of the TOP 40 songs currently played on the radio. Her foster mom hopes that she will be ready to go to a new home shortly. Skittles can still be a little tempermental from lacking of handling and will be available once she is a little more socialized. Please remember though that she will always be a Macaw and would probably do best with an experienced large bird owner.
Update! Skittles is doing great in her foster home. She adores her foster mom and will let her do just about anything to her. She does not particularly care for strangers but will allow a close friend to occasionally pick her up. Like most birds, especially Macaws, she is quite picky on who her friends are and will let you know her like or distaste for you. She loves her pine nuts, animal crackers, and fruit. Skittles will make an excellent addition to an experienced parrot owner’s home. Don't let her pickiness for petting discourage you because she loves to be doted on by admirers, even presenting alongside her foster mom at education presentations. As you can tell, Skittles will make an excellent companion for her "one true love".
Skittles' adoption fee is $1,500.00.

These two little ones (tri-colored) were left at a local shelter by their owner because they could no longer care for them. The shelter staff quickly realized how scared they were and wanted to get them to a quieter place. We were happy to help. They have literally just arrived in to their foster homes and are settling in nicely. We want to give them a few days to adjust and then will update you on their personalities. In the meantime, if you are considering adopting a Guinea Pig, please read up on them. They are very social creatures. These girls will make great pets for their families. We will adopt them out individually or together with appropriate housing. If you are interested in adopting them, please fill out the adoption application to speak with one of our volunteers about them. Stay tuned for more updates!

Remy and Emile were surrendered to us when their owners could no longer care for them. According to the surrendering owner, they have been handled previously. However, they haven't been handled for awhile. Their foster mom is spending lots of time socializing but they are still a little shy. Rats can make fantastic pets for experienced and new small animal owners. For now, we recommend that Remy and Emile go to an experienced home or with someone willing to get assistance in working with them. They are very cute and sweet rats. They just need to get use to getting handled again. If you are interested in adopting Remy and/or Emile, please apply above.
Their joint adoption fee is $15.00 or $10 individual.

Who couldn't love those long bunny ears? Gilbert hopes that you can't resist them and will take him home today. He is looking for a forever home to call his very own. He is a little on the thin side but is now eating a healthy diet of timothy hay, fruits, vegetables, and pellets. Gilbert has recently discovered the joys of a snuggly friend to call his very own and encourages sleeping next to his stuffed pal. Gilbert hasn't been handled in awhile but is very quickly remembering his manners. At this time, he would do best in a home with either an experienced rabbit owner or in a home with older considerate children who are willing to give him some space. Gilbert doesn't seem to mind the other furry animals in his home. This little fella just is looking for a permanent place to call his very own. If you are interested in adopting Gilbert, please fill out an adoption application above.
Gilbert's adoption fee is $30.00.
Lulu - Rabbit
Who couldn't love that cute little brown nose and ears? Lulu is looking for her forever home since her owners were no longer able to care for her. Marshmallow - New Zealand White Rabbit Mix
Sweetie & Petey - Cockatiels
AGE: 12 years old
SEX: Female and Male
Birds of a feather flock together... and these two enjoy each other's company. They were surrendered to us by their owner of 12 years when she found out she was allergic to them and could no longer keep them. They are in excellent health and extremely friendly and social. Sweetie and Petey stay in separate cages but do enjoy sharing a room together. They are in the same cage in the pictures for the photo shoot only. They are not a breeding pair and will be adopted out as pets only. However, they do need to go together as they get depressed if they can't talk to each other. It's a long distance kind of love. ;) They will sit on your finger and enjoy socializing with the foster humans in their family. If you are interested in adopting these two, please fill out an application above.
P.S. Sweetie loves to get her head scratched and Petey loves to whistle. We think that's how he won Sweetie's heart and how he certainly won his foster mom's attention.
Due to their age, their adoption fee has been waived.
Sir Henry Hogger of Quillingsworth - Hedgehog
We are pleased to announce the arrival of Sir Henry Hogger of Quillingsworth to the Red Dog Farm family. Sir Henry is a proud Hedgehog with a very discerning nose (he identifies his surroundings, friend or foe, with it). He prefers a life of consistency with an occasional swim or adventure. Like most Hedgehogs, he is most comfortable with folks that he knows often milling about their laps. He prefers a diet of Hedgehog pellets, fruits, veggies, and crickets. Sir Henry enjoys the occasional jog but often at a time when he can run at his own pace. Sir Henry will make an excellent companion pet for the right owner. He needs someone experienced with Hedgehogs or willing to "learn" from a professional about his likes and dislikes. If you are interested in giving this gentleman a forever home, please apply above.
Sir Henry Hogger of Quillingworth's adoption fee is $75.00.

Wednesday - Hamster
Meet Wednesday! Wednesday came to us because her owners could not take them with during their summer internships. She is a sweet little girl who just needs sometime to adjust to a new home. Her owners carried for her and fed her a great diet. However, they weren't able to spend as much time handling her as they should have. She isn't mean just a little scared initially. Her foster mom is working with her and she is making great strides so far. Wednesday would love to find her forever home with plenty of treats, exercise, and gentle pets. We encourage everyone to do their research before adopting any pet to make sure that they are ready for the commitment. Hamsters can make wonderful pets for the right person or family. Her adoption fee is $10.00.
Perry & Blossom - Parrotlets
SEX: Male & Female
Perry and Blossom came to Red Dog Farm after their owner could no longer keep them due to a move across country. They are very sweet birds and have been handled extensively. They enjoy each other's company as most birds do. With some time and daily attention though, they will still bond with their new owner. Both birds will let their foster mom pick them up, hold them, and are even starting to cuddle. They have had a fabulous diet and are in great shape. Due to their bond, we would love to see them go together. However, we will not adopt them out for breeding purposes. If you are interested in giving these two a wonderful home, please fill out the adoption application above.
Their adoption fee is $125.00.

We encourage everyone to do their research before adopting any pet to make sure that you are ready to love them forever. If you are interested in giving this lovable boy a home, please fill out an adoption application above.

Crush, Squirt and Duuude- Red Eared Slider Turtles
AGE: 1 year old
Crush, Squirt & Duuude were surrendered to Red Dog Farm when they out grew their family's tank and time. Turtles need plenty of space to swim, grow, and lounge. The proper set up for them includes a tank big enough to have a body of water and a land lounge area large enough for their entire body to fit on. They don't like to be half in and half out of the water all of the time. Crush, Squirt, and Dude enjoy a pelleted diet and leafy foods. They don't mind being handled from time to time but are happy just to spend their days swimming and lounging. They are the ultimate beach bum! If you are interested in adopting any of them, please fill out an application above.
Update! Hi, my name is SQUIRT! While I may be the smallest of my brothers, I make up for my size with my huge personality! I am quick in the water and on land, and I LOVE to eat; worms are my favorite. Sometimes I even open up and take a worm right from the tweezers! We have just started eating minnows too and I really like to chase them. I promise that when you walk into the room I will excitedly greet you at the edge of the aquarium with a huge smile! I even greet the cats in my foster house and try to get them to chase me!
Update!Hi, I am CRUSH! I am a little more laid back than my brothers, except when you vacuum my tank; as soon as I see the vacuum, the chase is ON! I also like to chase minnows and gobble them up. Other than that, I am extremely friendly and like to play with my foster family’s cats when they come up to our tank. Lettuce is one of my favorite treats but I eat everything that is put in my tank. Like my brother, I will excitedly greet you every day and will not fail to make you smile!
Update! Crush & Squirt are pending adoption. Duuude is already adopted!
