Pepper- Rabbit

AGE: Adult
SEX: Male

Pepper came to us after being found as a stray. He was sick with an upper respiratory infection but has since improved with antibiotics. Pepper is very sweet and gets along well with the cats in his foster home. If you are interested in adopting Pepper, please start by filling out the adoption application above.

Fern - Rabbit

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Fern came to us after being found as a stray. She is a very tame and sweet rabbit. Fern enjoys relaxing in the sun and hanging out on the chair or couch with you. She is doing well with her litter training but will need time to adjust to it in new surroundings. She is a curious rabbit and loves toys. If you are interested in adopting Fern, please start by filling out the adoption application above.

Alice - Rabbit

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Alice is doing great and is ready for her forever home. It took her a while to adjust and we think she would be best in single rabbit household. Alice loves to be held after she feels safe in your arms. Her foster mom says it has been a delight to see how she has improved and to know how much she wants to be loved. If you are interested in adopting Alice, please start by filling out the adoption application above.

Fa, Sol, La, Ti - Parakeets

AGE: Adult
SEX: TBD

These four parakeets were surrendered when their owner discovered that she was highly allergic to them. They enjoy chirping, hanging with each other and playing with the toys in their cage. They have been primarily companion birds so they aren't use to be handled. However, the mostly white one will step up and is the most outgoing. None of them are afraid of anything, including our resident office cat who enjoys watching them from a distance. If you are interested in adopting one or more of them, please start by filling out an adoption application above.

Their adoption fee is $15.00 each or $10.00 each if you adopt more than one.

Aphrodite and Amphitrite - Red Eared Slider Turtles

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Aphrodite and Amphitrite are two female Red Eared Slider Turtles, named after Greek goddesses of water because they live mainly in an aquatic environment. Aphrodite is slightly bigger than her sister, is very laid back and enjoys basking under the heat lamp. She is a very sweet turtle who loves to be petted on her shell. Amphitrite is a bit more of an active turtle. She likes to have something to do (like chase the minnows in her tank) and tends to get more active at night. She is adjusting to being petted by her foster family and is a very outgoing turtle. Their forever home will require a large (40 gallon) aquarium with filter, basking lamp, UV lamp, floating platform and possibly a heater in the winter months. If you are interested in adopting Aphrodite or Amphitrite, please start by filling out the adoption application above.

Parsley - Rabbit

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Parsley came to Red Dog Farm when the shelter contacted us about taking in three rabbits that needed a home. Parsley is in great health but is awfully shy. She is slowly adjusting to her new family but they are taking it very easy with her. We think she will come around with some time, space, and patience. Of course, treats help a little too! We don't want to give her too many though so she can continue to maintain her excellent weight and eating habits. Parsley would do best with a quieter, experienced rabbit person or family. She will need some time to adjust but we anticipate that she will make a great companion for the right family.

Update! Parsley has been cleared for adoption! This girl is ready to meet her new family and hopes that it will be you. She is coming out of her shell and would make a nice pet for patient family willing to let her get use to them. Please apply above if you are interested in giving her a forever family.

Parsley's adoption fee is $30.00.

Stevie - Gerbil

AGE: Young
SEX: Female

Stevie was named after one of her foster moms favorite music artists, Stevie Nicks. We thought she needed a name firing of her personality... a little sugar and a little spice. Stevie can certainly hold her own and being blind doesn't stop her one bit from living a happy and healthy life. But she is also very sweet and enjoys the special treats her foster mom gives her. We think Stevie would enjoy another Gerbil companion to buddy around with but she doesn't have to have one and it would certainly need to be another girl. Stevie enjoys playing in her cage and getting handled. We do try and keep her cage layout the same from day to day so as to confuse her or disorientate her. Stevie manages fabulously and is quite the happy Gerbil. If you are interested in giving her a home, please start by filling out the adoption application above.

Stevie's adoption fee is $10.00.

Houston - Hamster

AGE: Young
SEX: Male

Houston, we have a problem... a sweet hamster needs a home! This fella is looking for a forever family to call his very own. He is both handsome and healthy. He does have a club foot but that does not hold him back by any means. As you can tell from the photo, he doesn't mind being handled and is up for extra attention from time to time. Houston was recently featured in our Home for Holidays Campaign but still hasn't found his perfect home. He would make a great pet for just about everyone. If you are interested in adopting Houston, please start by filling out an adoption application above.

Houston's adoption fee is $10.00.

Max - Double Yellow Headed Amazon

AGE: 25-30 years old
SEX: Male

Max came to Red Dog Farm when his owner realized she could no longer properly care for him. Please excuse his bad feather day! He decided to molt right before coming to us and is starting to get new feathers in. We promised him that we would post better pictures once all of his new feathers come in. He is a typical Amazon in that he likes to talk, sing songs, be included in your day and randomly be left alone. He enjoys musicals and Disney movies. Don't forget to share your popcorn! This gentleman is sort of set in his ways. He enjoys a good scratch but is learning to step up again. If you are interested in going this guy a new home, please fill out an adoption application above.

Update: Max is doing very well in his forever family. His feathers have come in and he has a large vocabulary. He will sit outside of his cage and hold his foster mom's hand but won't "step up." He will sit on the arm of the couch beside you. He is one very special bird!

Clover - Rabbit

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Clover came to Red Dog Farm when the shelter contacted us needing help placing her. Clover is a a little overweight and therefore is having a difficult time grooming herself. She is now on a strict diet in hopes of losing that weight in order to better maintain her bunny habits. In the meantime, her foster family is helping by brushing her often and keeping her clean. Personality wise Clover is your typical domesticated rabbit. A little reserved but sweet. Once she has been cleared by the vet for adoption, she will make someone a great pet.

Clover's adoption fee is $30.00.

Truffles - Rabbit

AGE: 2 years old
SEX: Female

Truffles is your typical rabbit. She is very sweet and social, loves to play and explore new things. She will sit on your lap and snuggle too. Her favorite toy is a paper grocery bag! She loves treats and veggies too. Her foster mom is teaching her to spin in a circle for a treat. Rabbits are smart and love to learn new things. If you are interested in adopting Truffles, please start by filling out the adoption application above.

Han Solo & Chewbacca - Guinea Pigs

AGE: 1 year old
SEX: Male

Han Solo and Chewbacca are looking for a new home to call their forever place. These boys have and a great life but family circumstances have caused them to end up in foster care with us. They are very sweet, enjoy being handled, and love their veggies. They are a bonded pair so we would like to keep them together. They were named after the popular Star Wars characters because the movie came out basically the day they came to us. We are still getting to know their individual personalities but overall you couldn't ask for a cuter or more social pair of Guinea Pigs. If you are interested in adopting these two, please start by filling out the adoption application above.

Larry, Curly & Mo - Guinea Pigs

AGE: Adult
SEX: Male

Larry, Mo and Curly came to Red Dog Farm when the shelter contacted us for assistance in rehoming them. They are very sweet Guinea Pigs who don't seem to mind people. They love their food, especially carrots! Curly is fairly talkative perhaps a bit demanding at times. The other two are curious but not as vocal. These guys would make an excellent first pet for someone or really a great addition for any household.

These guys are currently being housed separately. Their individual adoption fee is $20.00 or $30.00 for two or more.

Thank you to Leonard Polanco for sponsoring these Guinea Pigs!

Khloe - Guinea Pig

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Khloe and Kylie (not pictured) are "sisters" but honestly they don't particularly like each other. Both are social girls with Khloe being the bolder, more opinionated sister. However, she still likes to be held and get lots of attention. They both enjoy their veggies but are not very demanding about it. Either of these girls would make a great pet for just about any family. If you are interested in adopting Kylie or Khloe, please fill out an adoption application above.

Khloe's adoption fee is $20.00.

Alfalfa (aka Al) - Lop Rabbit

AGE:Adult
SEX: Male

This sweet boy came to us along with two other rabbits from the shelter when they needed help placing them in to good homes. He is the sweetest and socialist of them all. Al doesn't seem to mind be cuddled and we think would make a great pet for just about anyone. He is a bit on the thin side so his foster family is working to help him gain some weight. Other than being thin, he looks to be in great health. If you are looking for a furry family member, Al is your guy. If you are interested in adopting him, please start by filling out an adoption application above.

Al's adoption fee is $30.00.

Honey - Guinea Pig

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Honey came to us when her owners could no longer care for her. She had an abscess that has been treated but she still has a scar from it. It's right under her chin and you can't even tell that it is there. She is afraid that it may prevent someone from adopting her but we assured her that personality means so much more when looking for a family. Honey is very sweet and would make a great pet for just about any family. If you are interested in adopting her, please feel out an adoption application above.

Her adoption fee is $20.00.

Oakley - Guinea Pig

Loving her will be easy though! If you are interested in adopting Oakley, please fill out an adoption application above.

Oakley's adoption fee is $20.00.

Roosevelt - Teddy Bear Hamster

AGE: Adult
SEX: Male

Roosevelt came to us along with several other small animals from the local shelter when they needed assistance in placing animals. Roosevelt is relatively social for a hamster. He likes to explore his new surroundings and munch on some treats. He is a typical hamster and spends his days, eating, sleeping, and running on his wheel. Hs foster mom states that he does enjoy rolling around the house in his big exercise ball. Roosevelt would make a great pet for just about any family. If you are interested in adopting him, please start by filing out an adoption application above.

Roosevelt's adoption fee is $10.00.

Kylie - Guinea Pig

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Kylie and Khloe (not pictured) are "sisters" but honestly they don't particularly like each other. Both are social girls with Kylie being a tad more reserved than her sister. However, she still likes to be held and get lots of attention. They both enjoy their veggies but are not very demanding about it. Either of these girls would make a great pet for just about any family. If you are interested in adopting Kylie or Khloe, please fill out an adoption application above.

Kylie's adoption fee is $20.00.

Geri - Canary

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

This little gal came to us when his owner realized that she was unable to care for her any longer. She was well loved by his previous owner and treated like a little princess. She loves to listen to music and chat away. Geri would make an excellent companion for someone. Her adoption fee is $15.00.

Carli - Guinea Pig

AGE: Adult
SEX: Female

Carli came to us the day after the U.S. Women's Soccer Team won the World Cup so in celebration we decided to name her after one of the team members. We have gotten to know her over the past few days and she is great! Carli LOVES her lettuce and carrot sticks. She is a typical Guinea Pig in the sense that she likes attention but is a little shy at first. When things get too crazy around her foster home, she likes to take cover in her hide-a-way hole. But curiosity gets the better of her and out she comes again pretty quickly. Psst... you can also win her heart with the veggie treats. Carli would make a great pet for the right family who is willing to give her a little time, love, and care. If you are interested in adopting Carli, please start by filling out an adoption application above.

Her adoption fee is $20.00.

Mako - Dwarf Lop

AGE: 4 years old
SEX: Male, Neutered

Mako came to Red Dog Farm when his owners could no longer care for him. He is very shy but extremely sweet. He like to be held or to sit on your lap. Mako is named after the cute little Mako shark because he has an extra row of teeth. The teeth are not causing him any health problems and our veterinarian says no treatment is needed.

Mako has recently been neutered. Rabbits make better pets and are healthier if spayed and neutered. If you are interested in adopting Mako, please fill out an adoption application above.

Because he is neutered his adoption fee is $60.00.

Odl-Lay - Dwarf Lop

AGE: 1- 2 years old

"Odl-Lay" (full name Odl-Lay-Hee-Hoo from The Sound of Music, Lonely Goatherd song). Came to Red Dog Farm after her owner developed an allergy to her. She loves to be cuddled but is a little startled when you first pick her up. Odl-Lay prefers to be an only rabbit and may be too shy to be around small children on a full-time basis. Otherwise this sweet rabbit will make a great pet for anyone. If you are interested in adopting Odl-Lay, please fill out an adoption application above.

Her adoption fee is $30.00.

Waffles - Dwarf Rabbit Mix

SEX: Male, Neutered

Waffles was originally born in our care 2 years ago. He was adopted and came back when his owner could no longer care for him. Waffles is a very clean and easy bunny. He is still very shy about being held and will wiggle when you first pick him up. He is not a good fit for a young child but otherwise will do fine in any home. If you are interested in adopting Waffles, please fill out the application above.

Because he is neutered his adoption fee is $60.00.

Stop by Sedgefield Animal Hospital to meet Waffles!

Camilla- Lionhead Rabbit

AGE: 1 year old
SEX: Female

Dear Easter Bunny,

I hear that in a few weeks you will be visiting a number of homes spreading treats to little ones. During your visits please let me know if you find a fantastic home in need of a bunny. You see I lost my home about two weeks ago when my owners had to move and could not take me with them. So I am now in need of some new digs. I am a sweet little girl who is young and carefree. I make sure to eat my fruit and veggies every day and don't mind be handling. Although, I do occasionally get startled. I generally enjoy being held and exploring the house safely. I think I would do great in just about any home and can even teach a new family about bunnies if need be. I just want someplace warm, loving, and that has plenty of treats for me. My only other request is that the family really be ready for me as I don't want to have to move again. (I would move with them though... I just don't want to move families again).

Thanks for scoping out the homes for me and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Sincerely, Camilla

Her adoption fee is $30.00.

Sweet Pea - Liohead Mix

AGE: 4 years old
SEX: Female

Sweet Pea came to Red Dog Farm when her owner moved and could no longer care for her. Sweet Pea couldn't have a more appropriate name - she is very sweet! She enjoys being petted and doesn't mind being handled in the least. She is a tad nervous with the resident cat but to her credit anyone would be nervous is "watched" frequently. The cat doesn't bother but just enjoys the bunny channel of cat TV. Sweet Pea is adjusting to it so she could go in to a home very easily with other critters. If you are interested in adopting Sweet Pea, please fill out an adoption application above.

Sweet Pea's adoption fee is $30.00.

Poppy & Clover - Chinchillas

AGE: Adult
SEX: Females

Poppy and Clover came to Red Dog Farm when their owner could no longer care for them. They are sweet girls who are still getting use to their new home. Here is what their foster mom had to say about their first few days with her:

"Poppy and Clover are simply delightful with the best of manners. Poppy, the older of the two, is very curious and enjoyed her first day exploring todday. Clover stayed closer to her cage but ventured out a few feet. Absolutely no biting. A little conversational chatting going on, but no fear alerts. I suspect that once they grow accustomed to my voice and the routine, they will be climbing over me in no time. Both will step onto my hand but they are not quite convinced of my intentions at this point. I can tell you that my boys do not appreciate their confinement with two strangers in the room. Newton gave Poppy a lesson in chinchilla etiquette through the cage this morning."

If you are interested in adopting Poppy and Clover, please fill out an adoption application above.

These are two bonded girls who would do best adopted together.

Update! These two girls are absolutely great! Perfect tempered, just the right amount of curiosity, and I have yet to see them chew on something outside the rules. They love to play on their playground and socialize with staff members. Poppy was the talk of her foster mom's officec recently and greeted everyone that stopped by. If ever there were chins that adored people, these two girls fit the bill. They enjoy being around people. Clover is still a little shy, but she will come around.

Our adoption fee is $75.00 for one or $125.00 for two.

Belle and Babies- Guinea Pigs

AGE: Adult and babies
SEX: 4 Females and 1 Male

Belle came to Red Dog Farm when her owner could no longer care for them. We quickly discovered that Belle was very pregnant and due any moment. Thanks to our quick acting volunteers Belle had her babies safely about 2 hours later. Belle and all four babies are doing well and enjoying their new residence in their foster home. Belle and all four babies will be available for adoption once the little ones are old enough. If you are interested in adopting Belle or her babies, please fill out an adoption application above.

Update! Belle is doing great. The babies were born on Jan 4th. They are full of energy and tons of cuteness. They squeak whenever you enter the room just to remind they would love a pet on the head or a carrot or two. Happy guinea pigs will jump straight up in the air, this is called "popcorning" . These piggies must be very happy because they are popcorning all the time! The babies will be ready to go home the first week in February. Guinea pigs are social animals who do best with the companionship of another pig of the same gender. As such, mom and the girls can be paired up for adoption. Panda, the male, will need to be adopted out to a home with another male guinea pig.

Their adoption fees are $30 for a pair (females only) or $20 for one.
